Mokpo is a small town on the southwest coast of Korea. It takes about 3-4 hours to get there from Seoul by train. As in other seaside cities, you will find a lot of seafood and all kind of dried fish/octopus/weird things. :) The only "busy" area is old downtown near the station but apart from that, it's really different from Seoul. It was pretty difficult to find bars and shops were closed everywhere we went. Apart from Yudalsan, a small mountain and symbol of the city, there was not much to do. Maybe the best thing to do is to visit the small islands nearby.
