I went to New York in 1999 but I don’t remember much from it. Central Park wasn’t beautiful in my memories: it was an overrated park that was kind of dirty. I think the renovations did a great job in restoring the breathtaking factor of the park. It’s beautiful! It looks surreal. I understand why the apartments surrounding it are so expensive. Times Square, on the other hand, still overrated and terrible. (I don’t like tourist crowds...) It was painful just going through it. Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Center: definitely worth it. The view is magnificent. Going for the sunset is great but there’s a really big crowd. One one side, central park, on the other, the Empire State Building. I would have stayed longer at the top but again, the crowd was too much. This trip reconciled me with New York. I think I wouldn’t mind living in New York, but it’s so expensive.
